"We stopped searching. We place."

How Kronos by EPSA widened its market coverage, accelerated placements and melted its bench, without adding a single person to sourcing.

The context

In consulting, margin is not decided at signature. It is decided in the days between a client publishing a need and a credible shortlist landing, and in the weeks a consultant sits without a mission.

Kronos by EPSA tracked its opportunities the way most of the market does: by hand. Job boards, client portals, career pages, mail alerts. A scattered flow, read by humans, arbitrated from memory.

The problem was never a lack of opportunities. We saw them too late, or without knowing immediately who to send. In our business, the first relevant answer often takes the mission.
  • Coverage. What you do not monitor does not exist. Every added source cost human time, so the perimeter plateaued.
  • The bench. An available consultant and an open mission can coexist for weeks without ever meeting, for lack of a match made at the right moment.

The turning point

No six month scoping, no migration, no committee. Pyrite points at a job board or a career page, and the flow starts.

We connected our sources one morning. By the afternoon we had opportunities we would never have seen, with shortlists already ranked. This is not an IT project. It is a tool we put in production within the day.

What changed

  • Coverage no longer depends on available time. Adding a source is a line of configuration, not half a day of weekly monitoring. The perimeter widened to clients, sectors and geographies no team watched before.
  • From posting to shortlist, in minutes. Every offer is parsed into clean fields, then automatically confronted with the consultant base. The team no longer builds the shortlist: it arbitrates it.
  • A bench that resorbs itself. Available consultants are scored against every incoming opportunity, continuously.
The score is explained criterion by criterion: skills, experience, languages, location, rate, seniority. My teams no longer lose an hour debating how solid a profile is. They debate how to defend it at the client.

The effect nobody anticipated

The most visible gain is operational. The most important one is not.

  • "We stopped adding people to absorb volume. A small team now covers a perimeter we could not have held at three times the headcount."
  • "Our reviews now look more like product performance reviews than classic recruitment meetings."
  • "Structurally, we carry fewer fixed costs for a wider flow. This is not an optimisation at the margin. It is another model."

“The platform sharpens with every mission. That is the point we underestimated: what we gain today is not what we will gain in six months.”
